The Gulf of Suez is an arm of the Red Sea that extends between the Arabian Desert and the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. Both the Gulf of Suez and the Suez Canal get their names from the city of Suez, which is situated on the shores of the Gulf of Suez to the west of the Suez Canal in Egypt.
